Fetch will have a booth set up at Dane County Dog Park's 3rd Annual "Barks for Parks!" celebration at Badger Prairie County Park in Verona.  This afternoon of fun will include live music, food, and entertainment for both pups and their people.  Proceeds from this year’s event will be used to build a shade structure at the Badger Prairie Dog Park.

-Suggested donation for admission is $5.00 per person. Dogs are free but must have a daily or annual dog permit. These can be purchased at the event or in advance through our website.

A Special Event Supporting Fetch Wisconsin Rescue

Join us on April 13th and kick off the spring season by combining two things that bring so much joy to life - a gentle yoga flow and puppy breath! - in partnership with Bliss Flow Yoga.

During this 60 minute event, you'll focus on slowing down, taking deep breaths, and practicing your yoga basics while enjoying the company of Fetch WI Rescue's adoptable puppies! Volunteers will be present to keep the puppies in line, but selfie breaks are expected.

The workshop will be offered for a $25 suggested donation, and you're encouraged to stick around afterwards for snacks and conversations with an amazing group of Fetch volunteers who can share their story and tell you how you can get involved!

$25 per student (we provide the puppies!)

About the instructor:
Megan is a 200hr E-RYT, who loves the flow of breath and movement. Outside of teaching yoga, and a myriad of many things, she is a dog mom to one dog name Chloe 'Van Goldendoodle' Gibson.

In many ways, Caitlin can identify with the experience of being a dog. When she is not in the yoga studio or working in her neuroscience lab, she spends her time eating good food, playing ultimate frisbee, and swimming in the lake. Most of all she loves to be social, connecting with others, sharing breath and moving the body. A lifelong animal lover Caitlin one day dreams of having her own mini millennial farm with dogs, cats, goats, chickens, and rabbits. Caitlin is a registered 200HR RYT.

Join us on Saturday April 6th at 10:30am for a hooks & hounds event in partnerhship with Canvas Boxing Club.

We are brining together two of our favorite things, puppies & boxing! During this fun 60 min event, puppies will be in the gym (monitored by Fetch volunteers) to encourage you while we work on form and footwork....breaks to hang with & snap photos with puppies are encouraged! Stick around for snacks and snuggles with the puppies! 

$20 suggested donation 

Aided by our fun-loving instructors, create an original masterpiece of your pet, all while enjoying food and drinks! For this class, we are donating a portion of every ticket to Fetch Wisconsin Rescue. Whether you have a cat, dog, bird, or lizard- come join us as we paint masterpieces of our pets while supporting a great cause. One pet per canvas. All skill levels are welcome!

$55 per ticket. This includes:
1. A pre-sketched canvas of your pet if you email us a photo of your pet AT LEAST 3 days before class.
2. All art materials provided.
3. An introductory paint tutorial and 3 hours of painting.
4. One complimentary margarita and chips & salsa.

Majors academy specializes in dog obedience, dog aggression, and dog behavior modification. As an avid partner and rescue advocate, Majors Academy has helped Fetch with some of their most challenging dogs. Jeremy Majors will be hosting a seminar for Fetch volunteers, adopters and friends to learn more about dog behavior. He'll cover basic and advanced topics, and show you how to work with dogs. Kicks Unlimited is hosting a women's self defense class from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 13, at Kicks Unlimited, 6111 Cottonwood Dr., Fitchburg. 

Register by Sept. 30 and pay $8 per person. After Sept. 30, cost is $10 per person. $5 from every registration will go to Fetch WI Rescue, a an-volunteer dog rescue whose mission is to save at-risk dogs. 
The self-defense seminar is open to ages 12 & up. 

The best self-defense techniques and strategies work equally well for men and women, but let's face it: Women really need them because they're assaulted more often than men, according to Black Belt Magazine. Statistics indicate that one in three women will be the victim of some type of violent attach in her lifetime, the magazine said. Women also endure more incidents of verbal and sexual harassment. Our one-hour self-defense course will focus on self-defense skills to quickly and efficiently end an attach in addition to methods for preventing a confrontation from turning physical in the first place.
