Updates from Foster Home:
Pupdate 1: A typical day for Sawyer starts with his foster momma or dad letting him out of his crate to go potty then typically on a walk with his foster brother. He then spends the work day in his crate but once in a while he gets let out at lunch. In the evening he wrestles with his foster brother and will sometimes get lucky and go for a second walk. He then spends a while lounging on the couch or the bed with us before going back into his crate at night. he can go all night without a potty break. Sawyer loves people, children included. When on walks, he will sometimes bark at strangers but whenever he meets anyone new in our home, on walks or in our yard, he is very friendly.
Sawyer is a medium-high level pup when around his foster brother. He likes to wrestle, play and go for walks but whenever he is the only pup around, or when he has had a walk, he is extremely cuddly. He usually gets one walk a day, with some exceptions. Besides this, he gets energy out by wrestling and playing fetch. Sawyer gets along with all dogs he has met and does well with our kitty. He especially loves when the cat lets him love up on her. His favorite thing to do is wrestle his foster brother and can play kind of rough. He would likely still play like this with a lower energy pup who may not like this! When he is alone, he is always in his crate. If we are in the shower or the other room, we do not have any problems with behavior. He occasionally steals a shoe or two and will put them on the couch but does not chew! Sawyer is very eager to please and has done a wonderful job with training. He uses bells on the door flawlessly when he needs to go out to potty and knows sit, lay down and is working on stay (or place) commands.
