Updates from Foster Home:
Pupdate 2: Maxwell is doing so well learning new commands. This is exciting because he didn't know any when he came to us! He has mastered sit, lay down, come, and is working on "crate" (going to his crate on his own), shake and the place command.
Maxwell has also been working on meeting new people, dogs, cats and visiting new places. He's doing awesome for the shy boy that he is and you can see that he really grows to trust his humans. He's a sweet, loyal boy who learns so quickly!
Pupdate 1: Max does great in his crate while we are at work. He likes to be active and spends most of his time playing with our resident dog and socializing with our cat. He does well with both. We've been working on some commands which he has picked up very quickly! He also typically gets 1 walk a day.
He is great with all people although he has had limited interactions with children. He is calm around children in our neighborhood but has not had any close and long interactions with any children. His only interactions have been in public places and on leash but they went well. Maxwell is probably medium energy as he loves to play with our resident dog but is perfectly content with lounging on the couch and cuddling as well. He likes walks but will spend a couple hours a day snoozing on the dog bed. Maxwell loves to play with any dog he has met and will follow our cat around calmly occasionally giving her some kisses on the head.
Maxwell is good alone in his crate at night and while we are gone during the day. We leave him alone briefly when we are not in the room and mostly just misses our attention. He does not seem to chew on things he shouldn't but I would not quite trust him alone and left out during the day as he likes to sniff around shoes.
Maxwell is a loving boy who really just wants someone to give him lots of love and TREATS! He loves to play, chew on toys, and cuddle. He is very curious and loves to just follow you around the house when he's not playing with our dog or cat.
