Updates from Foster Home:

Pupdate 1: Mavey has been the sweetest addition to our home.  She does great with other dogs but is not much of a rough-houser.  She is very low energy and would do best in a calm household.  She loves to dance before her meal and is learning some other tricks too.  She is crated when we leave but is able to free roam at night.  Mavey can be a bit shy at first but warms up quickly for some tummy scratches.  She will honestly make the best addition to any household.

Mavey loves to ride the sofa all day when we are home but does very well in her crate when we are out. We are typically gone for about 7-8 hours 4 days a week. She goes out 4-5 times a day for a run and a bathroom break. Mavey is great with new people but she does shake a bit at first. Even when she is shaking she goes up to the new people for attention. Mavey is low energy in the house. She does dance a bit when she is excited and will balance on her back legs to be more visible to you. She does not really play with our house dog but does not get upset when pushed to do so by her. Mavey does well with all the dogs she has been exposed to with us. We have had playdates with 4 other dogs, though she prefers to just chill on the couch.

Mavey took a couple of days to warm up in her new environment. She has not missed a beat now though. After the 4th day, she was riding the couch and cuddling with her foster parents. She enjoys being outside but it is too cold for her right now. She does her business, runs a lap, and comes back in. I think she will do very well at a dog park in the warmer weather.
