Updates from Foster Home:
Pupdate 3: We have recently discovered that Lady Bird is a great climber and will easily scale our 3 foot gate. We are still working on her jumping on people and counters. She will chew and eat just about anything, but she listens well when told to stop. We are still working on her doggie manners and she is doing great!
Pupdate 2: Lady Bird is a smart pup waiting to show you how much she loves her people. She has gone on trips with us to the farmers’ market, a parade, outdoor band, and on a picnic. Everyone who meets her can’t believe she is almost 6 months old because she is so well behaved for a puppy. Lady is food motivated and would be a great candidate for agility training. She loves being with her foster sister and often gives up her toys to her. Lady Bird is a gentle, sincere puppy that really wants a home of her own. You will fall in love with her like we did.
Pupdate 1: Lady Bird lives with two other pups. She wakes up around 6:30 am then goes outside with me right away. She gets breakfast in her kennel and goes out again. Lady has about an hour to play with the other pups before she is kenneled again until 12pm. I arrive home for lunch to let her out and play for a half hour then she's back in her kennel until 3:30. After 3:30 she is out and about playing with the family. If we are not monitoring her, she is kenneled. Bedtime for Beverly is between 9-11pm. The longer she stays awake, the longer she sleeps in the morning. She is always let out to potty right before kenneling and knows this routine well. Lady Bird is learning good manners when meeting new people. She sits when asked and is calm when new people meet her. Lady is a sweet girl who likes to burry her head in a lap for a pet and snuggle.
Lady Bird has a high to medium energy level. She loves to wrestle with her foster sisters. We are trying to get her interested in fetching balls and toys, but she doesn't seem that excited. Lady walks very well on a leash with a harness. Lady Bird likes to chase and wrestle with other dogs. She is kind to her younger foster sister, and lets her take her toys away. Lady has no experience with cats. She easily goes in her kennel with a treat when we leave. Lady rarely barks in her kennel, only if she needs to go outside. Lady Bird is smart and would benefit from someone to work her brain and body in training situations. We are working with her on not jumping up, keeping toys off the furniture, brain games and the "wait" command.
