Updates from Foster Home:

Pupdate 1: Francie goes on a half-hour walk first thing in the morning, then wolfs down breakfast. While we’re at work (~8 hrs) she can either be crated or roam free. Then she gets another half-hour walk, dinner, and hangs out with us until we go to bed. She sleeps either in her crate or on the couch downstairs. Loves adults! Is a huge snuggler and loves attention. Smaller kids freak Francie out—they’re too loud, too jumpy and too grabby. Francie does great with two walks a day. She’s medium-high energy, but if she gets a reasonable amount of exercise, she’s content to chill in the house the rest of the day. Pulls on leash but a no-pull harness helps a lot.

Francie has a high prey drive and unfortunately thinks cats are just big squirrels so she should not go to a home with cats. Does generally well with other dogs but likes to be the alpha female, so she is better with male dogs or submissive females. Loves to play! Her favorite activity is watching the wildlife out the window, so I am pretty sure that’s how she spends most of her day if she’s out. Also napping on the couch and chewing bones or other toys. Very quiet, rarely barks. Jumps on people to greet them but responds to “off!” She’s possessive over high-value objects like meaty bones, and sometimes can be grumpy if she’s woken up and moved. Overall a super sweet love bug who will make a great companion for the right person or family!
