Updates from  Foster Home:

Pupdate 3: Sophie is still on the search for her forever home! In the meantime, she has asked me to compile and publish this list of her likes and dislikes. She is just the best little pup and brings so much joy to the people who meet her :)

Sophie's likes:
Snuggling on the couch
Snuggling on the bed
Belly rubs
Short walks around the neighborhood
Nightly treats
Other chill dogs
Hanging in her crate

Sophie's dislikes:
People touching her paws and back end (she'll run away and/or yelp)
Young kids (too busy and unpredictable)
About half the treats we try to give her, haha
All in all, Sophie is looking for a calm home, preferably with another pup to show her the ropes, and an endless supply of belly rubs! In return, Sophie will be your most devoted friend for life.

Pupdate 2: Sophie has been doing great! She still loves her snuggles and is always up for a nap, but she's also starting to enjoy her short jaunts around the neighborhood. One of Sophie's favorite things is to meet new people and dogs while out and about. Tonight we took her to concerts on the square in Madison and she did great with all the hustle and bustle!

We are still working on the potty training but as long as we stay on a schedule it's been going pretty well. We can tell Sophie picks up on queues from our resident dog as to what's exciting, what's not fun, and what we expect; Sophie would really benefit from a furry sibling to show her the ropes!

Pupdate 1: Sophie is a very special little girl! She came to Fetch (along with several of her housemates) when her previous owner got very sick and had to go into hospice care. Sophie was quite overweight when she first got here and pretty shut down - you could tell she didn't feel good and was confused why she was in a new place. After about two weeks she started venturing out of her safe space in the kitchen and now she just wants to be by my side. So far Sophie has lost about 2 pounds and had a dental to remove 4 teeth, and you can tell she is feeling so much better!

Sophie is crate trained and stays in there during the day when my husband and I are at work. We are still working on potty training but with consistency we'll get there! When we're home Sophie loves to snuggle with us on the couch, and she sleeps with us and our resident Pom on the bed at night. She is so happy when I get home every day, and when you're outside she will bound across the yard to get to you as fast as her short legs can carry her. Sophie loves to meet new dogs (even big ones!) and people when we're hanging out in the yard or going for short walks; she would be fine with a calmer dog in her forever home or no dog at all, as long as she got plenty of snuggles. She is very low-maintenance and just wants to be your loyal companion.

Sophie is looking for a warm lap to snuggle on and a calm home to thrive in - is that yours?
