Updates from Foster Home:

Pupdate 2: Rory continues to heal really well from her cherry eye surgery. It’s a long recovery since she had a chronic case, but it’s a good sign that the cherry eye has not recurred yet. She’s back to her super spunky self with spinning in circles whenever it’s walk time, meal time, or she’s just plain excited to see her foster mom. No accidents and she’s pretty quiet all the time. She is very gentle with kids and an all-around snuggle bug. Plays with toys and other dogs some, but not a lot.

Pupdate 1: Meet Rory (aka Rory Gilmore)! She is a very sweet little Whippet Mix looking for her furever home. Rory loves to start her day with a good walk, a good meal, then spend most of the day snuggling her precious humans. She has a good medium energy level meaning she loves, loves, loves walks and could even go for a run but also settles in and is pretty quiet at home when she gets her walks in. Speaking of walks, did I mention she LOVES walks? She gets so excited for walks that she’ll cry and spin in circles! Rory will walk nicely on a leash and is even pretty good at off leash walking (though don’t do this unless you’re in a safe space - off leash walking is not allowed in most neighborhoods). Rory can be left out to roam the apartment while I’m gone at walk as long as she’s had a long walk in the morning (she had an accident once when she didn’t get to go #2 on a morning walk). She can also stay in her crate during the day though sometimes cries softly.

Rory gets along well with other dogs when given slow intros as she can be overwhelmed at first with new dogs. She does not show signs of wanting to play with other dogs inside, but loves to play chase with them in the yard. Rory also lives with kitties and doesn’t pay any attention to them. Rory has been around children as young as 5 for extended periods of time and is very gentle with everyone she meets. Rory is still recovering from minor surgery to correct a cherry eye (prolapse of the third eyelid), but is recovering well! Adopters will just need to keep an eye out to make sure she continues to heal well.

If you’re looking for a snuggle bug to warm your lap, Rory is your gal!
