Updates from Foster Home:

Pupdate 1: Hi! My name is Pumpkin. As you can see, I am beautiful, but you should also know that I am charming, cuddly and I have soooo much love to give YOU. I challenge you to find a sweeter dog than me! Speaking of challenges, unfortunately, I’m not always sure who is trustworthy and sometimes I think I need to defend myself and my family from people or dogs who (I’m told) don’t really mean any harm and this is why my current family can’t keep me. My current family is looking for experienced dog owners, ideally experienced pittie owners, with a better home environment for my issues and who would be committed to helping me be the best dog I can be. My basic obedience skills are excellent and I am very treat-motivated, so I’m ready to learn even more.

I am a 45 pound pit bull mix who is about 5 years old. I was found as a stray before my current family adopted me 3 years ago. I am house trained, crate trained and like playing fetch and going for walks. I would probably make a good running buddy with a little conditioning. I have a good amount of energy to run and play but am usually calm in the house.

I will bring with me a crate, leash, collar and vaccination records. I am microchipped.

My ideal home would have the following:

  • People who have had a dog like me before

  • People willing and able to continue my training, so I can be the best dog I

    can be

  • People who will keep me up to date on my vaccinations and proper health

    care

  • A household without a lot of strangers coming and going

  • No children (I have been excellent with children of all ages that I have met,

but I should only be in the care of adults mature enough to understand my

    special needs)

  • A secure fenced in yard

  • I live with another dog right now, who I love to wrestle and snuggle with. So, I

might like to live with another dog again, but I am picky and my introduction to a new dog would have to be slow and careful. I might do OK with cats, but I’m not sure.
