Updates from Foster Home:

Pupdate 1: Pancake is an incredibly sweet and quiet girl. She is low energy and content to sleep most of the day away with short walks in the morning and evenings. Pancake is very timid and fearful and is looking for a patient and quiet family who will help her work on building up her confidence. Currently, new people, loud noises, and open spaces make her anxious and she will require slow introductions. She will often hide until she feels more comfortable around new people, but will still need coaxing to come out of her crate. She does great with dogs and cats and has shown no aggression towards anyone. She will just try to hide or appease instead of lashing out. Pancake has been attending doggy daycare which has been helping with her socialization.

She is fully potty trained and has gotten much better at walking on a leash but will still try to bolt if anything frightens her so she will need to take things slowly! She would do best in a home that doesn't have children since sudden movements and noises raise her anxiety. She would also benefit from another dog in the house to show her the ropes and show her not to be afraid. She does not know any basic commands yet since she is usually too anxious to concentrate and would benefit from obedience training for shy dogs to help her focus and build confidence. She is not food or toy motivated so positive reinforcement helps a lot. She is a great cuddle buddy once she is comfortable and loves a good brushing!
