Updates from Foster Home:

Pupdate 2: Harry is a lovable little snuggle bug!  We adore him and know you will fall in love with him too.  I am so proud of the progress he has made. When we got him, he was a very picky eater, but now he loves to eat his food!  He will spin around and clap his paws when it’s time for dinner. Harry has gained a little more weight and is healthy as can be.  No more potty accidents in the house! He loves sniffing around outside to find the perfect spot to potty. He doesn’t mind the wet grass in the mornings like he used to.  Harry will share his toys with dogs and humans. I can see he feels more comfortable around strangers and children. He sure isn’t the nervous little pup he used to be. I love watching him play with the other dogs. He is a little guy, but can keep up with the larger dogs in the house.  Best of all, Harry has so much love and affection for his people. Check him out and I know you will fall for him like we did.

Pupdate 1: I’m Harry! I think I’m a wire-haired terrier mix with a little bit of chihuahua.   I’ve been waiting for you to take me to my forever home. Don’t get me wrong, I love my foster home with 2 dog sisters, a 7 year old boy, and an 8 year old girl. The kids can be a bit much for me, I usually try to tell them so by making this funny growly face. Mom says I would do best in a home without kids.  I get along well with other dogs, but sometimes I need my own space too.

I especially love my foster mom.  I was a little scared when I met her, but now I can’t get enough of her!  I love to snuggle or just sit on her lap. I’m so small, only 8 pounds! She takes me lots of places. The city seems likes a good place for me to live.  I don’t like to walk on the grass when it’s wet, but I’m working on it. I love to go potty on the same tree when mom takes me out. She’s so proud of me when I go after she says “go potty”.   I try really hard and I haven’t had an accident in the house for about a week. :)

I follow my foster mom everywhere she goes. I get a little nervous when she leaves me, but I feel calm and safe in my kennel when she does. One of the things I’m working on right now is my resource guarding. Mom has been teaching me it’s not the end of the world to have to give up my food or toys, and I’m starting to accept that. I like to eat in my kennel too so the other dogs don’t get my food. Mom has me on puppy food to gain a little more weight, but I’m kind of picky about what I eat. I love playing with cat toys by myself, and did I mention I love cuddles? I would be a perfect fit for a home with someone who wants to pamper me and take me places.
