Updates from Foster Home:
Pupdate 1: Feynman has been a joy to foster. He gets along well with everyone. Dogs, cats, strangers, kids. He’s a very polite pup. He’s more likely to sit by your feet and gaze up at you than jump up for attention.
Feynman has a heart shaped spot in his side and it totally fits his personality. He’s a big lover. He enjoys snuggling, giving kisses, and being carried around.
He’s learning to sleep in the crate. He does very well in the crate when humans are nearby but not so well if you leave the room. He howls and cries when he’s dissatisfied, which is rare out of his crate.
Potty training has been going awesome with no accidents in several days. He is very predictable and goes potty outside after eating, drinking, or waking up. He doesn’t quite sleep through the night yet but pretty close. He can sleep five hours overnight without issue. I usually give him a potty break around 4 or 5 am and then we go back to sleep.
Feynman has natural guard dog tendencies. He growls and barks at the bushes to alert his humans of impending doom (or bunny rabbits).
Feynman likes car rides, swimming, and playing with humans and/or animals. He has a lot of energy and will not bother with a nap if he has something better to do. I have never seen a dog run down the stairs as fast as he does (agility dog training in his future?!). He will be a great match for an active person or family that has the time to burn off some of that cattle dog energy.
