Updates from Foster Home:
Pupdate 2: We had Cola's last vet visit yesterday. He was such a hit! With his calm demeanor and friendly personality everyone swooned over him.
The vet tech took his leash and immediately led him around the office. Because his was the last visit of the day, all the vet techs and receptionists stopped to give him love, feed him treats and throw a toy back and forth.
Our vet is a dog-rescue fan herself and I swear she would have scooped him up and brought him home if she could. He is so relaxed and friendly that everyone just loves him up. Our vet even let her own dog that she brought to work out of his kennel to play with Cola. He's so good with other dogs that they were immediate buds and we spent an extra half hour just hanging out at the vet. Who does that?! Haha! He's a catch, and I can't wait for him to find the perfect match and his fur-ever home.
Pupdate 1: Cola is a very sweet lab mix. To us, he looks like half lab-half boxer and has a stubby tail. Cola (AKA Cola-Bear, AKA Bear) has one of the sweetest faces you'll ever see. He's a very gentle soul and loves to wag and wiggle his whole butt when he greets people. Cola has a very gentle mouth and takes treats from your hand very softly. His left ear has a bite out of it from when he was just a little guy, but to us it just adds to all the character he already possesses. It's pretty cute actually, because it gives him this "tough guy" look when he's really just a big softy.
Cola is a happy-go-lucky pup, who seems to like everyone. He's great with our black lab and shitzu mix, as well as our cat. He seems to enjoy people of all ages, and when introduced properly, has done well with children. Cola walks pretty well on a leash and learns quickly. He knows how to sit, he comes when he's called and would love nothing more than to snuggle up next to you on the couch to watch tv. Cola is crate trained and sleeps through the night. He's working on potty training and doesn't have accidents when taken out on a schedule. He's still very much a puppy though and will need some more work before he's fully potty trained.
If you're looking for a kindhearted and happy-go-lucky puppy, Cola may be your guy. Just look at that sweet face; who wouldn't want to wake up to that every morning?
